About Natalie

Natalie has a vast range of experience working in education and has always had a particular passion for ensuring children and young people with special educational needs and disabilities succeed.


Natalie develops and delivers a wide range of professional development opportunities to primary, secondary and special schools. She is a member of the Academies Enterprise Trust SEN Team and an Associate Consultant for nasen. She trains for RTA and Osiris and delivers the Outstanding Teaching Intervention in primary schools.


As an associate expert for Optimus' SEN Hub and for The Key for school leaders, Natalie regularly contributes to online articles and webinars. She is a consultant governor for a large 4-18 school in Dubai and is also a trustee of a recently formed multi-academy turst in the East Midlands.  


Natalie has had experience as an Interim Executive Headteacher in a Primary School. Prior to that, she worked for the National Strategies SEN Team as a Senior Adviser for Achievement for All, supporting the development of a highly successful programme aimed at improving outcomes for pupils with SEND.

Natalie has been a Local Authority SEN Adviser and Advisory Teacher, working across primary, secondary and special schools to support the strategic and operational development of SEN. Before her local authority work, she was a primary teacher and SENCO.


Natalie is the author of 'The Perfect SENCO' and recently published 'The Teacher's Guide to SEN'.
